Edinburgh Guided Tour have hosted many dozens of walks for schools, colleges and universities over the years, both from the UK and from abroad. We are acutely aware of the need to give the students/pupils a walk that is both entertaining and stimulating and that also gives them real knowledge of the city and its history. Our guides all speak with very clear accents so that the students/pupils are able to understand them without difficulty.
We feel that the maximum number of students/pupils that one guide should take, is around 25, and, if it goes above that number, we usually suggest taking two guides. We are happy for the client to suggest a time of day and a duration, though we strongly feel that a minimum duration should be 90 minutes. If the guests are below 18 years of age it is very important that a lead person from the educational establishment accompanies the young people and our guide(s) on the walk.
We are acutely aware that educational establishments need to be absolutely assured that their guests will be in safe hands. As well as our promise that they will be well looked after, and the plethora of favourable reviews we have on TripAdvisor, we can also give the client several emails of previous customers from the educational sector, so you can write asking for their impressions.
