About our Edinburgh guided walking tours

Stuart Usher and his son Richard have an extensive knowledge and a fund of anecdotes concerning Edinburgh's history, its architecture and the many famous people that Edinburgh has produced over the centuries.

People like the great historical romance author Sir Walter Scott, the inventor of the telephone Alexander Graham Bell, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and, the original 'Jekyll and Hyde', Deacon Brodie.

In addition, Stuart and Richard show the locations associated with the many other world famous people who were associated with Edinburgh such as Scotland's national bard, the great Robert Burns, the great enlightenment philosopher, David Hume, and the founder of modern economics, Adam Smith.

The Guided Group Walks focus on the Historical, Cultural and Architectural heritage of Edinburgh.

Most of the major historical sites of interest will be covered including the world-famous Royal Mile. Moreover, you will visit the beautiful St Giles Cathedral.

You will also visit some of Edinburgh's famous 'closes', including some associated with some of the city's famous sons such as David Hume and Deacon Brodie.

The Private Guided tours (full or half-day) allow you to see even more landmarks and sights around Edinburgh and can even be altered to suit your personal tastes/interests, as you will be the only walkers on the tour.

There will be plenty of excitement and fun, as well as plenty of opportunities to take some memorable photographs of the best-known landmarks of Scotland's glorious and ancient capital city!
